Acting Chief of News and Programming at the Namibian Broadcasting Corporation (NBC), Sackie Shikufa, said Namibia's high media freedom ranking should not lead to complacency.

The Minister of Information and Communication Technology has called for unity among the board, management, and staff of the NBC.

The Media Ombudsman and Namibian Broadcasting Corporation's Director General have reaffirmed the critical role of ethical journalism and accurate reporting as pillars in strengthening the media sector, stressing the broadcaster's mandate to inform, educate and entertain.
