Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Land Reform Inge Zaamwani says the government has availed N$70 million to the Agronomic Board of Namibia to purchase surplus maize from local farmers following a good harvest.

The Agronomic Board of Namibia (ABN) is inviting farmers to apply for its Fruit Value Chain Developers Scheme.

The scheme aims to boost local fruit production by offering a 30% subsidy on essential inputs.
