Police in the Zambezi Region is involving traditional authorities to minimise stock theft through.

The police have reported a case of stock theft involving 678 cattle that occurred between 2025 and 2026 along Namibia's borders with Botswana and Angola, specifically in February.

The Zambezi Region has vaccinated over 27,000 children under the age of ten during the third round of polio vaccination, started earlier here to reach children affected by floods and relocations.

A suspect was arrested for attempted robbery and assault at the Mafuta area outside Katima Mulilo. Three other suspects fled the scene.
