The need for nuclear regulation in the country was highlighted at the Regional Public Consultation in |Khomas region on the draft nuclear Bill.

The law aims to regulate and develop the sector, ensuring public safety and benefits from the technology.

The Ministry of Health and Social Services inaugurated the 6th Atomic Energy Board of Namibia, which will serve for a period of three years.

The Minister of Health and Social Services, Esperance Luvindao, said NDP6 will guide Namibia's nuclear development while the Atomic Energy Board implements it.
