Four Namibian women from Oshikoto Region who returned home from Vredendal in South Africa’s Western Cape following anti-illegal immigration protests have thanked the government for arranging their safe repatriation but say they now face unemployment and need assistance to restart their lives.

The Gainachas Development Cooperative has continued its long-standing tradition of supporting rural livestock farmers by handing over three goats to 20 of its members.

Rural farmers from the Berseba constituency founded the group 17 years ago, and it currently boasts 43 members.
