Residents of Orwetoveni in Otjiwarongo have raised concern over medical waste and contaminated laundry being dumped outside the Orwetoveni Clinic.

Residents say the situation poses a health hazard, particularly for children who play in the surrounding area.

Domestic animals are said to be gaining access to medical waste, including human placentas, at the Tsumkwe Clinic because the facility has no incinerator or secure medical waste storage area.
