Parents defy advice to enrol children in formal schools

Some parents and guardians of learners who attend the unregistered Ndama East School in Rundu are ignoring the Ministry of Education's advice to enrol their children at formal government schools.

The parents refuse to accept the Ministry of Education's response regarding the issue.

Otjozondjupa learners receive stationery through Standard Bank Grant

Learners from less privileged backgrounds in the Otjozondjupa Region have received stationery to support their studies through the Standard Bank Namibia Scholarship Grant.

In order to meet the needs of the scholars, Standard Bank donated stationery, toiletries and transport fares to 24 learners.

Grades 1, 8, and 10 were the most affected.
