Kunene Governor warns against tribalistic remarks

Kunene Governor Marius Sheya has warned against tribalistic remarks pitting the Damara and Nama tribesmen at Khorixas.

Sheya called out issues brewing at the Ward 9 communal area, where the locals are at loggerheads over alleged non-ancestral people being allocated plots to farm and residing there.

Omuhonga Combined School gets facelift

Deputy Minister of Education, Arts, and Culture, Faustina Caley handed over four hostel blocks, a matron's quarter, a kitchen, a dining hall, two ablution blocks, and two teacher houses to Omuhonga Combined School.

The facilities were constructed at a cost of more than N$79.5 million.

BoN launches modified N$20 banknote

The Bank of Namibia on Monday launched and activated the modified N$20 banknote at Opuwo.

The modified N$20 note contains the signature of the current central bank governor, Johannes !Gawaxab. The N$20 and N$200 notes were last reprinted in 2018.

Construction and upgrading of the multi-million dollar Skeleton Coast National Park are progressing well ahead of the festive season.

Kunene Governor Marius Sheya says the skeleton coast upgrade is expected to attract more tourism activities to the area.
