Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah calls on communal farmers to commercialise the farming Industry

Deputy Prime Minister Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah has called on communal farmers to commercialise the farming industry by transforming peasant farming into profit-oriented farming in order to contribute to and boost the country's economy.

Nandi Ndaitwah says it's through modern and resilient agriculture that the country will be able to address food insecurity and high unemployment.

She made these remarks when she officiated the Omaludi festival yesterday at Okongo in the Ohangwena Region.

Significant progress made since deployment of SADC Mission in Mozambique

The Chairperson of the SADC Ministerial Committee of the Organ on Politics, Defence, and Security, Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwa, acknowledges the significant progress made since the deployment of the SADC Mission in Mozambique.

However, Nandi-Ndaitwah says that there is still more work to be done to fully restore peace and stability in the northern part of Mozambique.

A one-stop border post is a port-of-entry environment in which two governments decide to co-locate their port-of-entry operations at a common land border crossing.

Namibia and Venezuela Reaffirm Friendship Ties

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of International Relations and Cooperation, Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, has concluded her visit to Caracas, Venezuela.

She had been in Venezuela on a working visit since December 18 at the invitation of Venezuelan Foreign Minister Carlos Tortosa.

During their meeting, the two leaders reaffirmed their resolve to continue strengthening their strategic relations at the highest level and expand the agenda of collaboration in key strategic sectors including energy, agriculture, commerce and industry, arts and culture, education, and tourism.

Candidates contesting three of the top positions in the Swapo Party made presentations to delegates at Rundu in the Kavango East Region.

Regional Coordinator Ottilie Shinduvi says the intra-party campaign went according to the guidelines as agreed by the Central Committee.

The media was only allowed to have a glimpse of the candidates at a highly guarded meeting.

A large number of delegates from the Kavango East as well as those who travelled from other regions turned up to listen to the contestants.
