The Minister of Urban and Rural Development has warned regional and local authority councillors to refrain from corruption, mismanagement, and incompetence.
 
James Sankwasa says poor governance has crippled service delivery and warned that those responsible will be held personally accountable.

Chaos erupted at Tanidare Lutheran Parish Church in Soweto after a fraction of the congregation demanded that the church be shut down over alleged mismanagement and fraud. 

The concerned group disrupted the service, insisting that it be halted, and proceeded to occupy the altar.  

Urban and Rural Development Minister James Sankwasa said members of the Katima Mulilo town council management were given ample time to respond to allegations of mismanagement made against them.
