Case opened against police who shot five men in Okahandja

NamPol Deputy Inspector General, Major General Elias Mutota, says a case of murder has been opened against the police officers who shot and killed five men in Okahandja last Tuesday.

Major General Mutota's remarks are contained in a three-page formal report released by his office on Tuesday.

The National Spokesperson of the Namibian Police, Deputy Commissioner Kauna Shikwambi, has informed the media that the official report by the police, in which five men were allegedly shot and killed by the Namibian Police Force and members of the Windhoek City Police, might be released today.

All learners placed in schools in Otjozondjupa Region

About 287 Grade 8 learners who could not secure school placement in the Otjozondjupa Region have finally returned to class.

The learners are now accommodated in classrooms at different project schools in Otjiwarongo and Okahandja.

Both parents of two-month-old baby arrested following her death

A two-month-old baby girl died after her parents both grabbed her on each side and pulled her in opposite directions during an argument.

According to the Namibian Police report the incident occurred on Wednesday at Okahandja.
