Iran's ambassador to Namibia says the possibility of any negotiations to calm the ongoing conflict in its country are now meaningless.

The Former Refugees Repatriation Association of Namibia (FRRAN) said it will now escalate its demands to President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah following an inconclusive meeting with Swapo Party officials and United Nations (UN) representatives on Saturday.

Traditional leaders from the communities affected by the 1904-1908 genocide urged the government to speed up the ongoing talks on genocide.

They indicated that the long delay continues to cause pain and frustration among the descendants of the victims.

Namibia and South Africa have unanimously adopted the report, which guides negotiations surrounding the Orange River Boundary.

The report was adopted at the just concluded meeting of the Political, Diplomatic, and Legal Committee of the Namibia-South Africa Bi-National Commission.

Negotiations for the Pact of the Future and the Global Compact, which will be adopted at the end of the Summit of the Future, are in their final stages. 

The Pact has to be agreed upon by all UN member states by consensus.

Administrators of the Walvis Bay Municipality say negotiations with Red Force will commence following the official termination of the contract on Wednesday.

Red Force, however, says the latest development is disturbing and comical because it violates the agreement between the two parties.
