The Khomasdal Constituency Councillor, Samuel Angolo, wishes the Windhoek Municipality to relocate homeless people residing at Khomasdal Stadium.

Angolo was speaking at the handover of blankets to the homeless people there.

The grave of Amalia |Hones, a royal lineage of the |Khomanin people, is now surrounded by shacks in the Havana Informal settlement.

This is after the Windhoek Municipality relocated some Windhoek residents to that area.

The Minister of Urban and Rural Development, Erastus Uutoni has handed over eight houses under the Affordable Housing Pilot Programme of the Windhoek Municipality.
Uutoni encouraged the councillors to work together regardless of their political differences.

The Windhoek Municipality is still waiting for the approval of the Ministry of Urban and Rural Development on its recommendation to appoint Conrad Lutombi as Chief Executive Officer of the City of Windhoek.

The CEO's position became vacant following the resignation of Robert Kahimise in October 2020.
