Natalia |Goagoses commends UNAM Southern Campus for geoscience excellence

The Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Technology, and Innovation, Natalia |Goagoses, has praised the UNAM Southern Campus at Keetmanshoop for the high standard of geoscience research. 

She paid a familiarisation visit to the campus. 

The southern campus is the only higher education institution that offers a specialisation in geoscience. 

The campus, with a student population of more than one thousand, also offers degree and diploma programmes in the fields of nursing science, education, and business administration.

The Deputy Minister of Information and Communication Technology, Modestus Amutse, has urged the staff members of the ministry to ensure that their services and work have a tangible impact throughout the country, including at the grassroots level.

Deputy Minister of Urban and Rural Development, Nathalia |Goagoses has called on teachers in the Erongo Region to be extraordinary this year.

|Goagoses says teachers should transform their teaching methods in order to achieve better academic results.

The Deputy Minister addressed education stakeholders in the Erongo Region, who convened at Swakopmund to develop a plan following the dismal academic results of 2022.

Nathalia |Goagoses told the audience that she was an underqualified teacher in the 1980s who managed to transform a failing Windhoek school.

Youth social enterprises to be recognised for contributions to sexual & reproductive health matters

Seven youth social enterprises are to be recognised for their outstanding contributions to sexual and reproductive health matters.

The recipients were selected from among 170 applications received by the Office of the First Lady and the United Nations Population Fund.

The competition was the brainchild of Deputy Minister of Information, Communication and Technology, Emma Theofelus, following her being awarded the UN Population Laureate this year for her work in the population space.
