Russia says it will supply more than 500 thousand metric tons of grain to all affected countries, including those in Africa, for free.

This is after the Russian and Ukrainian authorities agreed to the UN-backed agreement to allow the export of grain via a safe Black Sea humanitarian corridor as of Wednesday.

The supply of grain was interrupted by the 8-month-long conflict, which saw prices soar in various countries.
