The Minister of Urban and Rural Development, James Sankwasa, has criticised constituency councillors who did not attend his meeting aimed at discussing development and matters related to the Zambezi Regional Council.

Cabinet announces key decisions at 18th meeting

The cabinet has taken two key decisions during its 18th decision-making meeting. 

Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Minister Emma Theofelus says one of the two is the hosting of the Egmont Group of Financial Intelligence Units plenary meeting in Namibia in July 2027. 

Katima Mulilo Town Council dissolved

The Minister of Urban and Rural Development, James Sankwasa, has officially dissolved the Katima Mulilo Town Council as gazetted on August 15.

Only two former councillors from IPC and NDP attended the announcement, while the Swapo Party and PDM were absent.
