ǂAo-Daman Traditional Authority nominates new chief

The ǂAo-Daman Traditional Authority has unanimously resolved to nominate Senior Councillor Christofine Classen as the substantive Chief, following the death of the late Gaob Petrus Ukongo.

Classen has been serving as Acting Gaob of the ǂAo-Daman Traditional Authority since June 2024, when Ukongo died.

The initiative, which started three years back, aims to create a good relationship between the community and the traditional authority while bringing joy to the little ones.

Degazetted Tsoaxaudaman chief Joshua Seibeb accepts decision

The degazetted chief of the Tsoaxaudaman Traditional Authority, Joshua Seibeb, has said he will not fight the decision.

But he emphasised that he was appointed by the late Chief Bethuel Haraseb and therefore questioned how he was removed by the minister.

Supreme Court confirms Kudumo as Ukwangali Chief

After a decade of uncertainty, the Supreme Court has ruled in favour of Eugene Siwombe Kudumo as Chief of the Ukwangali Traditional Authority.

The ruling marks a turning point for the Ukwangali community, which has been without a chief since the death of Sitentu Mpasi a decade ago.
