The Ondonga Traditional Authority, through Omukwaniilwa Fillemon Nangolo Shuumbwa, has condemned the shooting incident that occurred at Iikokola village earlier today during a duly constituted dispute resolution session of the traditional community court.

The ǂAo-Daman Traditional Authority has unanimously resolved to nominate Senior Councillor Christofine Classen as the substantive Chief, following the death of the late Gaob Petrus Ukongo.

Classen has been serving as Acting Gaob of the ǂAo-Daman Traditional Authority since June 2024, when Ukongo died.

The degazetted chief of the Tsoaxaudaman Traditional Authority, Joshua Seibeb, has said he will not fight the decision.

But he emphasised that he was appointed by the late Chief Bethuel Haraseb and therefore questioned how he was removed by the minister.

Alfred ||Khamuxab has been ordained as the new chief of the Hai||Om San Traditional Authority.

He takes the seat from his father, David ||Khamuxab, who stepped down in 2024 due to health issues.

After a decade of uncertainty, the Supreme Court has ruled in favour of Eugene Siwombe Kudumo as Chief of the Ukwangali Traditional Authority.

The ruling marks a turning point for the Ukwangali community, which has been without a chief since the death of Sitentu Mpasi a decade ago.

The spokesperson of the Dâure Daman Traditional Authority, Martin Matsuib, described the elections held for a new chief as invalid and not in accordance with their customary law.
