Young Namibians, particularly young women, have been urged to look beyond traditional farming practices and view agriculture as a viable business and pathway to economic empowerment.     

Okakarara Regional Councillor Uzeraije Tjaverua made the call on Friday at the Okatjoruu Agricultural Farmers' Day.

A number of young Namibians are involved in what most people call "side gigs”, which is doing a piece of work that one gets paid for.
