The body of a 16-year-old boy was found hanging from a tree at Groot Aub on Wednesday. Rivaldo Rodney Smith's remains were discovered by community members who were crossing a riverbed at the settlement. The deceased's family had to wait for four hours as his body hung in the tree. This was because the Namibian Police's mortuary division had to drive from Windhoek. The Police found an empty school bag and a bottle of empty traditional brew next to the scene. No suicide note was found.
