A 33-year-old man was arrested at Ombondeyomutse-wondjamba Village at Ruacana in the Omusati Region in connection with the killing of his stepfather, Petrus Thomas following a heated argument. It is alleged that an argument broke out between the suspect and his girlfriend who was advising his parents to sort out their prolonged relationship issues which angered the suspect. He reportedly started assaulting his girlfriend with fists and later turned to his mother, by hitting her with sticks. The mother managed to flee the scene and the stepfather tried to intervene hoping to protect the two women from the attacks. However, the suspect allegedly turned his anger on him, hitting him profusely with sticks on the head killing him instantly. The suspect is expected to appear in the Outapi Magistrate Court.
