There has been a drastic increase in car accidents, injuries, and fatalities this Easter weekend compared to last year. Seventy-four motor vehicle accidents were recorded over the long weekend seeing an increase of 55 compared to 19 recorded last year during the same period. Low accidents recorded last year were attributed to COVID-19 lockdown regulations which limited people's movement.
