The Minister of Agriculture, Water and Land Reform Calle Schlettwein wants the speedy resumption of discussions for the removal of the Veterinary Cordon Fence. Schlettwein says Namibia cannot afford to lose its excellent animal health status owing to disease outbreaks in the northern communal areas.
