Agriculture Ministry is battling the third outbreak of the brown locust in the ||Kharas Region’s Karasburg District. The Ministry's spokesperson Jona Musheko says good rains recently recorded in Ariamsvlei created a favorable breeding environment for the locust. According to Musheko, as of Tuesday, spraying was carried out at farms, Nakop to Swartkop, covering about 80 000 hectares.
