President Hage Geingob has sent out his condolences to the spouse and family of leading Mexican investor and businessman Alberto Baillères González. Gonzales, the owner of Erindi Private Game Reserve in the Otjozondjupa Region, died on 2 February, aged 90 President Geingob said Mexico has lost a visionary businessman, and that Namibians would remember him as a friend and status investor intent on contributing to their development. Chairman of the Grupo BAL, Gonzales' net worth was estimated by Forbes at USD10.1 billion in 2021.
