The Namibian Police in the Erongo Region say yet another woman living in a shack has been raped at Tutaleni in Walvis Bay. Police Crime Investigations Co-ordinator, Erastus Ikuyu confirmed that the incident happened on Saturday at around 03h00. Deputy Commissioner Ikuyu said the suspect broke into the shack of a 28-year-old woman, pointed a firearm in her face and had sex with her without her consent. Police say the woman was sleeping alone at the time of the incident. Ikuyu added that the police are hard at work looking for the suspect who is described as a male person of middle age, medium height and a dark complexion. Ikuyu noted that the crime prevention team has also intensified patrols in Tutaleni during the night, to try to catch the suspect or suspects. He urged the public to stay alert because this is the fourth time a housebreak and attempted rape or rape incident in a shack has been reported in Tutaleni and Otweya.
