Micheal Kampota retained his seat, leading with 20 votes. All People's Party's (APP) Secretary-General, Vincent Kanyetu, is however still not satisfied with the outcome of the recount, saying new evidence has revealed some ballot papers marked with ink as opposed to the prescribed pencil. He addressed the media following the official announcement.
