The detained Affirmative Repositioning (AR) Movement activist Dimbulukeni Nauyoma has penned a letter to the movement’s former Head of Communications Simon Amunime saying he is disturbed by the latter's expulsion from the organisation. Nauyoma says that should the movement not self-correct, it may turn out like other political formations, adding that the actions taken by the movement’s leadership, remind him of the time he was suspended from the ruling Swapo Party. “It is in our DNA to question those in power and ourselves for self-correction and direction. Our movement is undergoing a historic test on managing, moulding and formalising for a better tomorrow, our conduct here will inform the future” Nauyoma says. “I spent the night trying to make sense of what transpired because the formation of AR was to fight injustice and not [to] subject activists to the same action” he added. He further says that the two activists, Amunime and Kathanga, have started a fire which will be difficult to extinguish.
