Basic Income Grant Coalition visits Venaani

The Popular Democratic Movement (PDM) leader McHenry Venaani says his party is not against the implementation of the Basic Income Grant (BIG). Venaani, accompanied by some parliamentarians, held a meeting on Tuesday with a member of BIG Coalition, Mahongora Kavihuha. He defended his stance saying, "PDM supports the BIG, but it is against making it universal. We want the BIG to be tailored to the needs and characteristics of Namibia." Kavihuha, however, says modifying the universal BIG will be a logistical nightmare, which will be costly.
