President Hage Geingob has appointed Basilius Dyakugha Ombudsman, as per the Constitution and on the recommendation of the Judicial Service Commission. His appointment comes into effect on 1st October 2021. Dyakugha a former regional councilor for the Mukwe Constituency is at the moment the Chief Legal Officer at the Law Reform Commission. The President expressed confidence and trust in the ability, commitment and fairness with which the new Ombudsman will be expected to execute their respective duties and responsibilities.
