A body of an unidentified person was discovered in a drain after municipal workers noticed a blockage in a sewerage system. The body was found on Sunday in Windhoek's Agste Laan informal settlement. The incident attracted a large crowd of onlookers. It took time for the police to remove the body as it was already decomposed and swollen. The police had to bring in a water tanker to assist in the process of getting the body out. Simon Narib who claims to have lost a relative about three weeks ago, was waiting patiently to identify the body. Narib's relative ran away after allegedly killing his friend and has not been seen since.
