Botswana national dies in Walvis Bay

A 33-year-old Botswana national died in a freak accident Friday night at the Puma Service Station, in Walvis Bay. According to an incident report provided by the police, it is alleged that the victim was allegedly trying to fix something on his truck. "When he got under the truck trailer between the trailer and rear wheels the fully loaded trailer pressed him against the wheels resulting in his death. He was declared dead at the scene." The victim was identified as Dithore Meliahave "The body was taken to the Walvis Bay Police mortuary for post-mortem examination to determine the cause of death. He was in the company of his cousin at the time of the incident." His next of kin have been informed. Investigations continue.
