City Police Chief, Abraham Kanime was suspended Monday with immediate effect and without pay, pending finalisation of an investigation. In a letter seen by NBC News, City CEO, Robert Kahimise said, “after an internal audit exercise, I have reason to believe you have committed a serious misconduct.” Kahimise also informed Kanime that he is “required to inform the Chief Executive Officer of Windhoek in writing if you wish to travel out of Windhoek”.
