Four suspects were apprehended apparently while they were about to rob a Windhoek resident in the vicinity of the Northern Industrial Area yesterday. The four suspects where observed by the City of Police, apparently while attemptig to rob a person who was withdrawing money from a nearby automatic teller machine in Newcastle Street. The suspects were reportedly caught red handed, as body searches by the police found them in posession of a number of items they believed to be tools used for commiting crime. Items include pangas, pepper spray and knives. They were also found with a number of suspected stolen cellphones. City Police senior superintendent Gerry Shikesho says the driver of the vehicle transporting the group was also arrested, for driving a vehicle with forged number plates. The vehicle was impounded for further investigation.
