Three open markets received awards as being the cleanest food trading places in Windhoek. Wernhil Open Market won the Big category, Okahandja Park Informal Market in the Small and Tukondjeni scooped the award as the most improved market. The competition is part of the City Council's effort to keep open and informal markets clean.
