It is reported that on Monday, a driver of a Toyota Corrola, recklessly overtook and collided head-on with an oncoming vehicle. The oncoming vehicle was identified to be the official motor vehicle of Hon. Councilor Victoria Kauma, a Regional Councillor of Rundu Urban Constituency who also serves as a Vice-Chairperson of the National Council was carrying Councilor Victoria, her driver and her bodyguard during the accident. The Councillor is being hospitalised at Rundu State Hospital and her condition is described as stable while her driver and her bodyguard received a medical check-up and are already discharged from the hospital. The driver of a Toyota Corrola who is suspected to be under the influence of alcohol is also being hospitalised and the police are investigating a case of driving under the influence of alcohol and reckless and negligent driving.
