COVID-19 cases and deaths have both dropped significantly, despite the continent recording more than 10.4 million positive cases and over 200 000 deaths since the discovery of the Omicron variant. This was said by the World Health Organisation's (WHO) Director for Africa, Dr Matshidiso Moeti during an online media briefing.
