The Electoral Commission of Namibia (ECN) has approved the use of private vehicles during elections at a cost. Individuals in Windhoek and surrounding areas have been urged to avail their vehicles to the commission to be used during the elections period. Vehicles will be inspected for roadworthiness at the ECN offices from 08H00 in the morning, where after selection will be done. The type of vehicles required are 4x4 bakkies with a canopy at N$1200 per day and a 2x4 drive bakkies at a daily rate of N$1000.
