The Ministry of Education, Arts and Culture has suspended the filling of all non-teaching posts. In a statement issued on Friday, the ministry’s Executive Director, Sanet Steenkamp said after the budget consultations between the ministry and the Ministry of Finance, it was decided to freeze all non-teaching vacancies during the remaining period of the 2020/21 financial year as well as for the 2021/22 financial year until further notice.
