ELCRN elects church elder Jack Manale as the Synod Chairperson

The Lutheran Church in the Republic of Namibia elected church elder Jack Manale as the Synod Chairperson at its recently held Church Synod. Elder Richard !Kharuxab and Pastor Lourenst Kuzatjike are co-chairpersons. Elder Manale described the gathering as a success, which called for unity among church members. The Synod further implemented various plans toward poverty eradication, accepted resolutions of the 2nd National Conference, programmes on youth empowerment and called on the government to fight corruption. The congregation also wants the government to implement the Basic Income Grant initiative and ensure fair and equitable resettlement. More than 164 delegates attended the Synod, among them delegates from ELCRN Botswana and the Lutheran Communion of Southern Africa.
