Elsie Nghikembwa will be the new chairperson of the Electoral Commission of Namibia (ECN), replacing Advocate Notemba Tjipueja. President Hage Geingob appointed Nghikembwa alongside Joram Rukambe and Dr Emmerencia Leonard as members of the Commission for a period of five years. The appointments are effective from 16 September. Outgoing ECN Chairperson, Tjipueja bid farewell to the President.
