As political tensions intensified in the northern central regions of Namibia, more young people grew agitated with the violence and hostility perpetrated by the colonial forces and were motivated to join the armed struggle to end South Africa's rule. Emma Nakanduungile, the sweetheart of her father, also sneaked out of Ashipala Secondary School in Omusati with a group of six other learners, with no fear of the unknown.
