Environment, Forestry and Tourism Minister Pohamba Shifeta has reiterated that community forestry programmes were created to empower local people to manage their natural resources and derive benefits through generating income and employment creation. Pohamba said this when he inaugurated a N$22 million Community Forest Facility at Ncumcar in the Kavango West Region.
