The ongoing oil exploration in the two Kavango regions by Recon Africa, will not automatically allow the company to go into full production, should viable quantities is discovered. This is because the company does not have a license to carry out any production operations at any of those sites. This was said by the Minister of Environment, Forestry and Tourism, Pohamba Shifeta when he responded to a question by PDM MP, Timotheus Shihumbu who wanted to know the future of the oil exploration project in the two regions.
