Environment Ministry yet to assess long-term impact of oil and gas exploration in Kavango regions

The Ministry of Environment, Forestry and Tourism says it is still to make a further assessment on the long-term impact of oil and gas exploration in the Kavango regions. The ministry's executive director, Teofilus Nghitila says this will give them a comprehensive understanding of the project, its future impact and how to address unforeseen effects. He said this at the public hearing with the Parliamentary Standing Committee of Natural Resources on ReconAfrica's operations.
