The Erongo Police Regional Commander, Commissioner Andreas Nelumbu has announced that they will no longer issue travelling permits out of the region, with immediate effect. Commissioner Nelumbu made this urgent call following the rise of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Walvis Bay over the weekend. He further instructed law enforcement agencies not to issue any travel documents during the state of emergency. Nelumbu says this decision is in line with public safety measures and to curb the further spread of the pandemic.
