The Namibia Medicines Regulatory Council (NMRC) is yet to consider an application by a Namibian manufacturer, Fabupharm, to produce paracetamol. Recently, NMRC announced the recall of imported paracetamol 500-milligram tablets as the product failed an appearance test and is not deemed suitable for distribution. Fabupharm says it is ready to supply the market and for Namibians to have access to quality paracetamol products.
