The police at Ondangwa have arrested a 54-year-old former soldier for allegedly shooting and injuring another man at Onakamwandi Village in the Oshana Region on Thursday. Confirming the arrest, Warrant Officer Frieda Shikole-Ashiyana of the Namibian Police Force’s Community Affairs office in the region said the incident happened after an argument broke out between the two. “The injured man was accusing the suspect of allegedly setting free his donkeys that were tied on the legs,'Shikole-Ashiyana said. The suspect used a Walter 7mm pistol to shoot at the 32-year-old victim who has since been admitted at the Onandjokwe Hospital in a serious condition. The former soldier has been charged with attempted murder and is yet to appear in court, the Warrant Officer concluded.
