Namibia's decision to auction over 100 elephants in a bid to stem the human-wildlife-conflict has received criticism from animal rights activists around the world. The Namibian Government has explained that proceeds from the planned auction will be deposited into the Game Products Trust Fund (GPTF) for use on wildlife conservation and rural development projects.
