The Federal Government of Germany has lifted all entry restrictions for residents of Namibia with effect from today. A statement issued by the German Embassy in Windhoek says travel to Germany by Namibian residents is therefore again permitted for all travel purposes from 2 November. For people who have reached the age of 12, proof of a negative test, recovery or vaccination is required upon entry. Namibia was one of the countries placed on a high-risk list due to particularly high incidences of the spread of COVID-19 in June. In recent weeks, Namibia's daily positive cases continued to decline to as low as 11 people and a zero death. By 31 October active cases stood at 784.
