The newly introduced Namibian Senior Secondary Certificate Advanced Subsidiary (AS) level is a comprehensive and content filled level, that gives final year students an opportunity to further their studies in technical fields such as engineering and medicine. As a support initiative to accord learners an opportunity to catch up on the lost learning time due to the COVID-19 pandemic school breaks, the Office of the Governor of Hardap Region and the Directorate of Education, Arts and Culture in the Hardap Regional Council invited AS level students to receive extra lessons during their summer mid-term break.
